Booking. Acceptance
Unless you have a corporate agreement with us or an arrangement with your travel agent, your booking must be guaranteed to a credit or debit card and a deposit paid.. This means that you agree for us to charge that card in the event of late cancellation, non-arrival or charges unpaid at departure. We reserve the right to cancel without notice any booking which has been guaranteed to a credit or debit card which we subsequently find to be invalid or with insufficient credit.

Reservation/Cancellation Policy
We would remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract, any confirmed reservation cancelled within 72 hours will be charged for in full and which will be deducted from your credit card, unless the accommodation can be re-let. We will take all reasonable steps to try and re-let the accommodation. Deposits are only refundable if cancellation occurs two weeks or more before arrival, less a £5 administration charge. Any cancellation that you may make will always be acknowledged by us. You are therefore advised to take out travel insurance. In the event of a disputed no-show, we reserve the right to ask you for proof of cancellation in the form of a fax or email receipt, before considering waiving our usual non-arrival charge.

Early Departure or Cancellation of part of your stay
The deadline for you letting us know about an earlier-than-expected departure date and avoiding a cancellation charge is 12 00 noon on the day prior to actual check out. Again, we advise guests to check the terms of their travel insurance if they are concerned about incurring such charges.

Our terms for partial cancellation will vary according to how much notice you provide. We reserve the right to make a charge.

Check in
Check in is between the hours of 4.00pm and 8.00pm, rooms are guaranteed available from 4.00pm onwards. Occasionally, we may be able to accommodate an earlier check-in for which we may charge a small premium to cover additional costs. To guarantee an early check in guests are advised to pre-register from the day before.

Check out
Check out is by 10.30am. Late departures are by prior arrangement, subject to availability and may also attract an additional premium. Guests wishing to drop off their luggage before their room is ready may do so. We cannot however always commit to storing guests' luggage beyond their day of departure.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted by law in our house. Those guests who wish to smoke may use the gazebo in the car park where an ash tray is provided. To comply with the law and out of fairness to the next guest please do not smoke in your bedroom. It is usual for us to charge guests an extra night's accommodation if we feel we cannot re-let a room which smells of smoke after their departure.

Noise
We ask all guests to be considerate towards other guests. We also remind guests that whilst we are situated in a relatively quite and secluded backwater we are a city guest house. All parts of the city can be subject to a degree of noise – especially at weekends. Nottingham is no noisier than any other city and we are usually quiet.

Non-Residents
Guests may bring non-residents back for social reasons - although the actual number of accompanying guests allowed to enter our premises will be subject to our approval. For reasons of fire safety and out of respect for other guests, we do not allow non-registered guests to enter bedrooms without prior permission and they must leave the premises by 11.30pm.

Code of Conduct
Greenwood Lodge is a small, family-run Guest House which places great emphasis on providing a pleasant and safe environment for its employees and patrons. It is also our home. We reserve the right to ask any guest whose behaviour is abusive, threatening, offensive or unacceptable in any way to staff or fellow guests to leave the premises straightaway and incur any early departure charges which are relevant. Our public areas are covered by an approved CCTV system.

Damages
We reserve the right to charge those guests responsible, for damage or negligent soiling caused to any parts of our premises, accidental or otherwise. Failing to tell us about damage to our property may result in higher-than-expected maintenance or cleaning charges.

Children
We only accept children over the age of 10 years

Pets
We do not accept pets of any kind with the exception of assistance dogs. Pets are welcome to stay in the owners vehicle in the car park if desired.
